The wait for general elections may not be too far off as Barbados Prime Minister Freundel Stuart says he will call the poll very soon.

The Prime Minister was at the time addressing a joint Democratic Labour Party (DLP) meeting at the LT Gay Primary School.

It was held in support of St. Michael North East candidate, Patrick Todd.

According to Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), the Prime Minister also defended the record of the DLP during its time in office.

He also took a jab at the opposition saying the actions of the Barbados Labour Party leader has left that party divided.

Meantime candidate for St. Michael North East, Patrick Todd is not intimidated by his opponent, leader of the opposition Mia Mottley.

He is already reaching out to residents in that constituency.
