The cabinet of Barbados has agreed to the establishment of a new national honour.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley made the announcement during a press briefing at Government headquarters on Thursday.
The award, to be established by an act of Parliament, will be known as the Freedom of Barbados Award.
