The Bahamas has signed an agreement for a US$200 million development of an eco-friendly, high-end luxury resort on neighbouring islands, Children’s Bay Cay and Williams Cay.

Christie, who signed a Heads of Agreement with CB Commander Limited and CH Amiral Limited, said that the owner of the project, Dona Bertarelli, is a member of a prominent Swiss family.

He told the ceremony that Children’s Bay Cay will be developed into an exclusive five-star ultra-luxurious resort and golf club.

Prime Minister Christies said that employment prospects for the residents of the Exumas will be increased significantly as the project intends to employ 350 to 400 Bahamians for construction works over a five-year period.
