Another 400-500 applicants are set to be approved for the PRYME program before the end of the year. This is according to Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, who made mention of this while speaking on radio earlier this morning.

“Over 600 persons have been approved for the PRYME and PRYME Plus, about five million dollars thus far and we’ve approved another two million. Before the end of the year we’ll have another four or five hundred. But please realize that it is an ongoing program, that’s how it was intended to be and we have money, indicative money in the budget for 2021 and 2022.”

Promotion of Youth Microenterprises PRYME was initially started with two million dollars in funds and was intended to provide financial support to entrepreneurs under the age of forty, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic has been expanded to PRYME Plus to include support for entrepreneurs over the age of forty.
