Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves while speaking on radio on Sunday issued a warning to visitors to the island that if they do not adhere to the COVID-19 protocol, the government will be forced to suspend flights from the United States of America.
“If persons who return choose not to pay attention to the quarantine, you may push the government to suspending the flights from the United States of America until things improve there.”
The Prime Minister said that flights from Canada would continue even if this suspension comes to pass.
American Airlines recently resumed their service out of Miami, a COVID-19 hotspot in the USA to SVG on July 11th.
