St. Vincent and the Grenadines has now recorded a total of 16 local COVID-19 cases. This is according to this country’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Simone Keizer Beache, who made the disclosure at a press conference held earlier today.

“Yesterday we announced on the fourth of January that we had recorded a total of 133 confirmed cases, 100 of which had recovered, and 33 were active. Of that number, we had a total then of 12 local cases. Overnight we recorded an additional 4 local cases, and so we are up to 16 local cases.

Of those cases, we have grouped them into basically three clusters, or three categories. We have two clusters and the remaining numbers are individuals who we are at this time attempting to link to the existing clusters” The CMO said.
