The combination of an upper level trough and an easterly wave has been generating some moderate to heavy showers, periods of rain and scattered thunderstorms across our islands.
As a consequence, a Flood Warning is now in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Rainfall accumulations of 75 – 100 mm {3 – 4 inches} are likely.
Thus, residents and motorists near rivers and streams prone to flooding and land slippage should continue to exercise caution and remain on the alert.
This Flood-Warning means that flooding is likely to occur.
Moisture levels are expected to remain relatively high into the weekend, as a Tropical wave is expected to approach the eastern Caribbean by Saturday into Sunday.
This warning will be up-dated as necessary.
