5,000 love boxes have been distributed thus far; this is according to this country’s Minister of Agriculture Hon. Saboto Caesar, who made the disclosure while speaking during parliament on Monday.
Minister Caesar said ‘thus far 5,000 of 100 percent locally produced food, bought from over 370 farmers have been distributed to churches, community based and non-governmental organisations and the ministries of national mobilisation, education, health, and agriculture, 3,500 families have benefited nationwide’
Minister Caesar also addressed the local economic benefit of the love box initiative, drawing attention to the fact that local farmers are receiving good prices for their produce, farm workers are being employed, truckers being employed for transport and boxes being sourced locally.
