Uroy Lewis, a 27 year-old Labourer of Enhams has been arrested and charged for having in his possession an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

According to Police, Lewis had in his possession one Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol, serial number unknown, without a license issued under the firearm act.

Lewis also possessed thirteen rounds of 9 millimetre ammunition without a license issued under the firearm act.

The incident occurred in Diamond on Monday, June 4, about 2:30pm.

Meanwhile, Police have arrested and charged Phillips Baptiste, a 28 year-old Steel Bender of Orange Hill for possession of controlled drugs.

According to Police, Baptiste had in his possession nine hundred and forty eight grammes of cannabis, with intent to supply it to another at the Grenadines Wharf, in Kingstown.

The incident occurred on Tuesday June 5, 2018, about 7:50am.
