The management of Hearty Foods Supermarket in Arima are now looking to see how best they could assist over 200 workers who are now on the breadline following a fire at the popular establishment yesterday.

Most of the workers included those who are yet to purchase school books for their children in preparation for the new school term in three weeks.

The supermarket’s owner, Ishwar Maharaj, told the media his major concern now is to find jobs for his displaced workers.

He is expected to meet with employees on the issue today.
