The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) in Jamaica has named an 11-member appraisal committee to conduct a formal assessment of the reasons that contributed to its electoral defeat in the February 25th General Election.

The committee, chaired by Member of Parliament Julian Robinson, had its first meeting today where it defined its scope and work plan.

According to the Jamaica Observer, the PNP said in a release that the committee has defined three areas of scope for its review — the Government, party and campaign.

The PNP said an interim report is expected to be presented within 30 days and a final document by the end of April.
