The Windward Islands Farmers Association will be collaborating with a number of agencies, to host a two-day workshop here later this month.

The forum is being convened as part of a regional initiative – which aims to promote sustainable livelihoods, among farmers in the Eastern Caribbean

The objective of the workshop is to explore the potential of corporate social responsibility as a strategy and communication tool to ensure long term success.

It also aims to introduce design thinking as a means of addressing new policies and programs, to attract young people and farmers to modern types of farming, including climate smart agriculture.

The workshop is expected to take place at the Methodist Church in Kingstown on April 29th and 30th from 9 in the morning.
