Vincentians will have an opportunity to display their creativity with projects in ten categories when the 2018 VINLEC National Science and Technology Fair takes place from January 29 to February 2, under the theme “Go Creative: Do Science.”

The event is a production of the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the SVG Science Teachers’ Association, and the St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC).

Projects can be submitted in the categories of Agriculture, Food Science, Computer Science and Robotics, Biology and Environmental Science, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Chemistry, Explanatory Models and Drawings, Physics and Engineering, and Mathematics.

There will also be a “Go Creative” category to capture the more innovative ideas and inventions.

Delivering remarks at the launch of the event earlier this month at the Curriculum Unit Conference Room, Cyritha Harry, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Science Teachers Association said the Science Fair forms part of the Associations strategy to promote science and technology in this country.

Students at all levels of primary, secondary and post-secondary institutions can participate, as well as adults who function in and out of the education sphere.
