The 2019 Lions Club South/Flow sponsored National Secondary Schools’ Public Speaking competition will be held tomorrow.

Six finalists have been selected to represent their respective Secondary Schools in the Competition, which will be held at the Kingstown Methodist Church Hall.

The Schools are Rishona James of the St. Vincent Girls High School – Eldonte Samuel of the Bishop College Kingstown – Danielson Ferguson of the St. Vincent Grammar School – Sharyan Bowman of the Mountain View SDA Academy – Vickron Alexander of the Union Island Secondary School – and Stephen Lavia of the Intermediate High School.

The selection came following presentations from seventeen students at four preliminaries held during the period the 1st to the 4th of October 4th October 2019.

During tomorrow’s competition, each of the students will discuss the topic: “Should individuals who claim to be LGBTQ be afforded all human rights prescribed under international law”?”

The competition is expected to commence at 7 pm and will be aired live on WE FM Radio.
