The SVG Tourism Authority (SVGTA) is continuing talks with several airlines about operating flights into St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the SVGTA Glen Beache speaking yesterday at a press conference said discussions are ongoing with Caribbean Airlines (CAL) about operating more services out of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport into Argyle International Airport here.

He noted that the summer program with Caribbean Airlines went well and added that St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be welcoming American Airline’s inaugural flight on December 15, 2018.

In terms of air service out of the United Kingdom, Mr. Beache said there are some challenges presently.

Mr. Beache however remains optimistic that UK airlines will in time commence service to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The CEO of the Tourism Authority said they are also in talks with JetBlue about doing flights into St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
