Persons here will be given an opportunity to make donations of cash or items in aid of persons in Tortola affected by hurricane Irma, when the SVG Good Hearts Foundation hosts a hurricane relief benefit concert this evening.
The concert is organized in collaboration with several radio stations inclusive of WEFM, Nice Radio and NBC Radio, as well as other stakeholders.
Mr. Ezzie Roberts, a member of the SVG Good Hearts Foundation told WEFM News that the group did a small collection drive last Saturday which raised $3,500 and other items, but today they are hoping to collect a larger number of items and cash.
He is encouraging persons to donate non-perishable food items, canned goods and toiletries.
Mr. Roberts said L Pank, Shaunelle McKenzie, Rodney small, Luta and Patches are among the artistes scheduled to perform at the concert that begins at 5:00pm at Heritage Square.
Mr. Roberts is encouraging persons to support this important venture.
