The annual Regional Security System Council Meeting will convene in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this Friday April 5th.
The meeting which will commence with an official opening ceremony 9:30 a.m. at the beachcombers hotel, will address several critical regional security issues will also witness the signing of two (2) Memorandums of Understanding.
Chairman of the Regional Security System (RSS) Council of Ministers, and this country’s Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves, will welcome his regional counterparts from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Lucia at the annual Council of Ministers Meeting.
Remarks will be delivered by representatives from the Embassy of the United States in Barbados, the European Union, and the Regional Security System, with the featured address by Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves.
As a prelude to the Council of Ministers meeting, the Regional Security System Security Chief’s which comprises of Commissioners of Police and Heads of the Defence Forces in the RSS Member States will convene their annual meeting at the same venue under the chairmanship of Mr. Colin John, Commissioner of Police of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
