Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is expected to hold discussions with Representatives from the Physical Planning and Development Board, on issues relating to the renovation of the St. George’s Cathedral.

At a recent Media conference the Prime Minister said he seeking a meeting with the Planning Board and hopes that the matter can be resolved as soon as possible.

The Physical Planning and Development Board enforced an Order to block the church from proceeding, with repairs to the building located on Grenville Street in Kingstown.

The renovation is expected to cost approximately 24-million EC dollars and Prime Minister Gonsalves is also challenging the Private Sector to assist in the repair process at the Cathedral, which is of historical significance.
