The St. Vincent Gateway University (SVGU), a new online university, was launched here on Friday.
Speaking at the launch held at Frenches House in Kingstown, President of the University – Vincentian born Dr. Hyacinth Byron-Cox said the St. Vincent Gateway University (SVGU) is a Christian University aimed at providing quality education at an affordable cost.
Byron Cox said that (SVGU) will operate as a satellite affiliate of Kingdom Bible College – based in the US – providing both seminary and secular courses.
Professor Byron-Cox also indicated that the University is in the process of registering with this country’s national accreditation board.
The School is set to start in mid September and is aiming to start with 30 students.
