The Community Nursing Service of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment reports having in stock 11,000 doses of Tetanus Toxoid vaccine.

The report came following comments made by area representative for West Kingstown Daniel Cummings, yesterday morning, during an interview on Boom 106.9 FM.

In a release issued this morning, the Ministry refuted claims made by Mr. Cummings, that there is a scarcity of doses of Tetanus Toxoid Vaccine at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

It says the Accident and Emergency Department of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital received 20 doses of Tetanus Toxoid vaccine on Friday November 29, 2019, and as of Monday December 2, 2019 at 4pm the AED of the MCMH had 3 doses remaining.

The release further stated that as per the normal procurement process, additional tetanus toxoid vaccines will requisitioned from the Community Nursing Service as needed.
