Vincentians are expected to see a slight reduction in the cost of electricity with the recent development of the Solar PV Plant in Union Island.

This is according to Thornley Myers, while speaking at a special ceremony to mark the opening of the Union Island Solar Plant, held on Monday.

Mr. Myers said the investment will not only lower the cost of electricity for persons living in Union Island, but customers throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Mr. Myers said the electricity industry is changing, hence the Solar PV Plant is a project aimed at grid modernization.
