The Vincentian populace continues to benefit greatly from the concession on barrels imported at Christmas.

The concession on Christmas barrels was first granted by the government in 2001.

Carl James, Chief Operations Officer at the SVG Port Authority at Campden Park, told WEFM News in an interview this morning that since the commencement of the concessionary period for this year on November 12, there has been a significant increase in the number of barrels being cleared each week.

Mr. James said that due to the increase in barrels, additional hours will be added to accommodate customers.

Mr. James is appealing to customers to clear their cargo as soon as possible.

The Chief Operations Officer also expressed thanks to the employees and partners for their work and dedication thus far.
