The Electoral Office has decided not to suspend registration in the fifteen constituencies nationwide for the period August 3rd to September 4th, 2015 as stated in a release issued last Friday.

Consequently, registration will continue uninterrupted in the upcoming week and throughout the month of August.

The Electoral Office said in a release that it will work simultaneously to prepare and publish the new Voters’ List and to make it available to the public for scrutiny.

The new Voters’ List is scheduled to be published in mid-August and will reflect the names of persons who were registered as voters between June 1st, 2005 and July 31st, 2015.

The Electoral Office is appealing to new voters as well as individuals who are re-registering to make use of the services provided in the constituencies.

The Electoral Office says the registration schedules will be published in the weekly newspapers and on the Electoral Office page of the government website.  Registering Officers will post schedules in strategic places in each constituency and the registration schedules will also be made available to all political parties.
