An Open Forum and Discussion on the relevance of a steel band organization in the 21st century will be held later today at Frenches House in Kingstown.
The event is being hosted by the Youlou Pan Movement as part of activities for Steel Pan Week.
The session is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm.
Meanwhile, a Rep Yo Band event will be held tomorrow April 20 at Heritage Square from 5:00pm.
The Steel Pan Week will climax with a Pan Blocko on Sunday April 22 at the Calliaqua Hard Court from 4:00pm.
The activities are being held as the Youlou Pan Movement celebrates its 40th anniversary under the theme “For the love of steel Pan,” with an overall objective of celebrating the history, development, and meaning of the steel pan art form here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
