A Bill for an act to guide the development and exploration of geothermal energy here is being debated in Parliament.
The estimated cost of the geothermal development project here is US 80 million dollars.
The Geothermal Resources Development bill received its first reading and went to a select committee.
The project is being approached by the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines with partnership from Emera and Reckjavic geothermal energy.
